Home School Mondays @ Chimney Rock Park

Chimney Rock Park is now offering educational programs designed for homeschool students throughout the entire year. Join us the 2nd Monday of each month to marvel at and explore the natural wonders of the Park with Environmental Education Specialist, Andy Unguris. You’ll find that the Park is more than just a Rock, it’s a mountain of learning possibilities!
Each month offers a different subject of focus and a variety of activities so students of all ages can have fun and grow new ideas. Learn all about Mammals, Geology, Forest Ecology, History, Native Plants, Reptiles & Amphibians, Wild Edibles, Insects, and more in the Park’s natural outdoor classroom.

Cost: $8 per student (includes admission and all activities). Discounts offered for Annual Passholders.

Pre-registration is required one week prior to program date. Space is limited to 20 students.

Home School Mondays @ Riverbanks Zoo

Mark your calendars for another exciting year of Home School Monday programs! Each month we will offer a set of classes. Classes will focus on a particular topic and will include hands-on activities and live animal encounters.

Who can attend the programs?
Home school children ages 5-13 with an accompanying adult.
(There is no minimum or maximum number of students that can attend.)

When are the programs offered?
Most Mondays of each month, September through May, 9:30 am for children ages 5-8 and 11:00 am for children ages 9-13. The dates are listed below.

How much does it cost?
The cost is $7 per student (1 accompanying adult per child admitted FREE). This rate applies ONLY to those taking part in the program. Regular admission rates apply to those not participating.
